DBE Program
Brasfield & Gorrie, LLC (B&G) and Formation Methods, LLC (FM) have been selected by the Birmingham Airport Authority (BAA) as the Construction Manager at Risk (CMR) Consultant. B&G is a nationally recognized general contractor. FM is a majority African-American-owned construction services firm. B&G/FM have acknowledged the BAA’s Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program by committing to a true formal venture (JV) which exceeds the DBE goal established by the BAA for this project.
The JV understands the importance of helping historically underutilized businesses gain a footing in the competitive construction industry and is eager to incorporate their specialized talents into the project delivery team. We have formulated a subcontracting plan which to maximize DBE participation within the project. To enhance the success of this plan, the JV has assigned a DBE Coordinator who will have the specific responsibility of directing and monitoring the plan throughout the construction delivery process. He will strive to assure that all necessary efforts are engaged in accordance with Federal Regulations (CFR 49, Section 26) to maximize DBE participation opportunities.
